From The Astrological Magazine:
“We regret to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the publication of The Astrological Magazine will cease with the December 2007 issue.”

I swear that years ago there was a newspaper report to the effect that a séance had been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
It definitely does reek of urban legend. Snopes doesn’t list it, although this may be a new prank. Then again, it may be genuine. It’s splashed across the web at present.
Here’s a similar story that’s absolutely bone fide, in the Corrections column, page 2 of The Sydney Morning Herald (Jan.21, 2008):
“Due to a publishing error, star signs that appeared in News Review on January 12 were those for January 19. Those published on January 19 were correct for the date.”
I wonder if anybody even noticed?!
